Ready to disrobe? Here are 11 worth a look. As they say: When in the French Riviera….
Playa de Ses Illetes
THIS weekend may have been a washout, but the heatwave will soon be back on. This is where holidaymakers can strip off and go skinny dipping this summer without raising any eyebrows at all, based on TripAdvisor reviews. Patara is situated on the Turkish Riviera and is an unofficial nudist spot - but you should be OK to go naked here. One reviewer suggests that by walking for around 30 to 40 minutes away from the tourist areas, you'll find the quiet part of the where people strip off. They said: "If you stay to the back of the beach, [it's] probably best [as] it wont offend anyone who might walk on the shore line. It's not just about chilling out here - the beach also has wild foam parties where people let loose in the nude. Another said: "The foam party was wild. It is a lifestyle party so anything goes in there, and everything was definitely happening. This beach is one of Germany's oldest nude beaches and is full of deckchairs that you can relax on without your clothes on.
Cap d'Agde Naturist Beach
Nobody does au naturel quite like the French: with a multitude of nudist beaches, vast established resorts and even dedicated shopping centers. France has a long record of naturism and the resorts are stylish and accredited by the French Federation of Naturism. Located within the Quartier Naturiste, aka Nudist Quarter, has a superb sandy beach, many swimming pools and also shops designated for naturists! In fact visitors can shop in stores, have dinner, go nightclubbing and even do their laundry — all without ever getting dressed! In fact, naturism is obligatory! Conditions in the Languedoc-Roussillon Med region are perfect for sunbathing and swimming nearly all year round and the surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful.
It does not come as a surprise that the various French nude beaches are mostly located in the south of France. On the other hand, many beaches tolerate or practice unauthorised naturism on inaccessible beaches, often reached through the coastal path after a minute walk. On the beaches of the Languedoc-Roussillon region , the situation is totally different because of the flat terrain, which is therefore generally accessible. The beaches of Cap d'Agde stand out with their fully equipped centre. There is also a beach in Leucate, which is well equipped with nudist residences.
